Notes from Lee Nelson White Deer about this blend:

  • Chamomile is a pain reliever, has no aspirin or relaxants.  It has a tendency to bring light and airiness.  By its nature it is a very quick oxidizing herb. As soon as you make tea with chamomile you get an effervescent, carbonated tea, makes you relax, gets rid of gas, we get a fizz effect along with penetrant to drive the pain reliever in.
  • Dill has a soothing and calming effect on the nerves, particularly the stomach. The stomach always reacts to pain, it tightens up. Dill calms the stomach.
  • Valerian is a very powerful herb. It sedates and works somewhat like morphine does. It has several of the more powerful relaxants and nervines, and contains a certain amount of aspirin
  • Wintergreen contains a fairly good amount of aspirin and also contains a penetrant. Oil of wintergreen will immediately soak into your hand a warm glowing feeling all the way down. Aspirin with wintergreen gets into the nerve system very quickly.
  • Catnip is one of the strongest of painkillers, although it does not contain too much aspirin, it contains a chemical compound almost equivalent to morphine. It stops the flow of energy to the nerve lines, used in small amts in this blend.
  • Catnip and Valerian work similarly. The two together make each work better. Some people will respond more to the mineral component of valerian, others not so well. Catnip is an alternative and more readily absorbed. By combining the two we can get the catnip to help absorb the valerian.
  • Watercress is a food.  It supplies a high amount of oxygen.
  • Thyme is a relaxant. It has a tendency to relax the pineal and pituitary glands, two main central lines sending energy out from the brain down. It stops you from thinking you have a headache.
  • Rosemary is a muscle relaxant.
  • Hops is a muscle relaxant.
  • Skullcap is used to relax the cap of the skull, on the top part of the head, the nerves that feed the hair and scalp. It relaxes the hair.
