| Description: |
Has a round, branched,
hairy stem which grows from three to
six feet in height and bears light green
leaves. The leaves are sessile and oblong
or oval, growing alternately along the
stem. The flowers are yellow and grow
in cylindrical spikes from June to September.

| Description: |
This shrub is branching
and partly evergreen, and varies in
height from 2 to 12'. The fruits are
small and globular resembling berries,
which are first green, but will become
nearly white. They consist of a hard
stone, inclosing a two-lobed and two-seeded
kernel. On the outside of the stone
are gunpowder-like grains, and over
these is a crust of dry greenish-white
wax. |
