Healthy, Organic, Whole Foods Diet Recommendations

Eat Well, Live Well!
Our Suggestions for Eating a Balanced, Organic Whole Foods Diet

If health problems exist, we strongly recommend that you seek guidance from a healthcare professional.  Our suggestions are not intended to replace specific dietary advice.

It is not difficult to learn to eat naturally, and the rewards are plentiful. A healthy diet of natural foods will provide your body with most of the vitamins and nutrients it requires. Whole foods contain within them all the different nutrients and enzymes our bodies require to utilize them properly. For instance, many people avoid eggs because of the cholesterol level in them. However, while eggs do contain cholesterol, when prepared properly and eaten with a healthful, balanced diet, eggs provide the body with the nutrients it needs to make the best use of the cholesterol. Food can be your best medicine. You simply need to be aware of what is real food, and what is not. How we prepare our foods is also very important, and in what quantities and combinations.

In general terms, learn to feed yourself with foods in the manner in which they have been created naturally. Avoid packaged, processed, pasteurized, and synthetic products; anything that comes in a box, can, or carton is suspect.

Here's our simple list of do's and don'ts
Learn to follow the guidelines outlined below and you will be well on your way to a balanced and healthy diet.

How to order at a Restaurant

We have honestly found it very easy to maintain a healthy diet under all circumstances.  In fact, over the years, we have perfected the art!

When eating out, follow these simple suggestions.

  • Request Romaine Lettuce in your salad rather than head lettuce or iceburg lettuce.

  • A slice of lemon makes a very nice salad dressing.

  • Request your beef rare or medium rare with a side of horseradish.

  • If eating Chinese, request no msg, or ask which dishes do not contain msg.

  • Request honey instead of sugar.

  • Just say *No* to black pepper.

  • Even if eating at fast food restaurants, order as usual, (avoiding the fries) and eat the sandwich without the bread. Onions and green chilies are always a good accouterment
