I have been blending Two Moons Tea™
herbal formulas since the 1990’s for myself
and others as part of my personal journey of
healing and awakening. The formulas were passed
on to me by my friend, teacher, spiritual mentor
and partner, Warren Gold, who was an herbalist,
healer, and teacher of natural healing arts.
In the early 70’s Warren apprenticed with
Lee Nelson White Deer and served as a diagnostician
alongside of Lee in his clinic and school for
Native American healing arts.
Lee Nelson White Deer was a Lakota medicine
man who was raised on the Rosebud Reservation
of South Dakota. In the early years of Lee’s
life, he traveled throughout North and South
America and traded herbal wisdom with many tribal
people. He had an extensive knowledge of herbal
medicine which he garnered from his teacher,
a medicine man by the name of Two Bottles. His
experience and insight grew through the knowledge
of tribal medicine men from different climates
and locations, each relying on local medicinal
herbs to maintain and restore health and balance
to the people of their communities.
Two Moons Tea™ herbal formulas are a
result of Lee's travels among indigenous healers
as well as his and Warren's many years of honoring,
blessing, listening to and sharing herbal medicine
with their students and clients.
As these formulas were passed down through
the generations, the blends were modified by
skillful hands in response to the changing environment
of earth and her people as well as the availability
of herbs. For instance, Golden Seal has recently
been added to the endangered species list due
to over-harvesting. We have replaced it in some
of our formulas with a local medicinal herb
that grows abundantly here in Oregon and has
similar healing properties to Golden Seal. That
is the Oregon Grape.
Two Moons Tea™ herbal blends offer time-proven
nutritionally rich natural healing opportunities
for those who will take the time to partner
with them in their healing journey. Our herbs
are organically grown, sustainably farmed or
wildcrafted. Our blends are prepared the traditional
way with love and prayer.
We hope you will enjoy browsing through our
website to learn more about the history and
uses of these remarkable teas. May you come
to know the spirit of medicinal plants, walk
gently upon our earth, and live in health and
beauty.
Thank you for sharing in the blessing of Two
Moons Tea™ Native American Original Medicinals.
